Hey Kiddos!

I hope that you are staying warm & filling your cup with lots of hot chocolate. You know those freezing, cold nights are right around the corner...let's start this thing off right! Where are my flannel jammies? ;)

This is a quick update to tell you about my new band, Paige & Palermo. This will be available on iTunes November 30th! It was so much fun to reimagine the timeless Classic, Silent Night.  I hope this helps to get you in the spirit!

Tonight is a thought filled night. I'm preparing for my trip to Cali. It's been a while since I've been "home", and I'm really excited to be headed west. I'm realizing that, after leaving several years ago, there are only a few people that I really NEED to see....is that awful to say? I mean, I lived there 1o years! How is it that you can share such formidable years with friends & then be ok not to see them? It kind of makes me feel bad, like I'm being disloyal. Yes, we all have our faults, but I'd like to think that loyalty is not one of mine. When you have so few hours, how is one to choose who is MOST important in your life? Is it really possible? Doesn't each person fill a certain, little spot? I hope so... and, I think I've come to terms with that. I HOPE that I can fill a certain spot for my friends. How awful to not, right? I mean, to just be on the fence about everything...or to be neither here, nor there? Ambivalent? I want to be the kind of person who represents something- who stands for something! I know I've got a ways to go but I sure hope that I am headed in the right direction...love me, or hate me, may you know who I am.

Here's hoping that I can fill a certain, little spot in this world...cuz honestly, that is all I dream to do. To my friends, who have made a special impact on my life, thank you. Cheers to the next 10 years, and all of the new discoveries it may bring.

Cutting Down on the White Noise, One Annual Blog @ a Time!

Happy Spring!

Can you still call it a blog if it only happens once a year? Damn, I better make this good.

Did you ever get the feeling that something is doing a number on you? That life as you know it is changing right before your eyes? I totally have that feeling right now.

Let me do the annual Christmas card type update for you now, so we can get reacquainted in 2010. Let’s see…I’m an Auntie now, to another precious, baby girl named Emmery Quinn. I MARRIED a wonderful guy in March (!), and I’m working on a new record as we speak.

On a sadder note, I’ve seen a lot of hardship here lately with the floods hitting TN, and even hitting a dear family member’s home (www.jenniferpaige.com/wilsonpike); and that has been truly heartbreaking. It’s happening all over town…too much going on in the world for people outside of TN to realize the severity. It’s bad… but, as people do, they survive. Somehow.

Many of you know that I moved from Los Angeles to Nashville, TN a few years back. It has been a big reason for the shift in me, I believe. It’s slower here. Kind of a kooky, little town, filled with striving Country artists everywhere, like the actors in LA. When I tell people I’m a singer here, I just wait for the standard reply from strangers, “That’s a tough business…hard to make it”. It cracks me up cuz they just assume you suck. It’s awesome! Poor actors, is this what you've been dealing with all these years? ;)

I’ve been experimenting musically, without parameters, trying on many different writing styles and letting whatever wants to come out creatively come out. I was such a youngster when my 1^st single came out, and I’ve always been signed as a mainstream Pop artist; but I feel myself trying to break my own mold, and see where I land. I’m liking the process & I can’t wait to see which songs make the record. I’ve always found that if you do the work, the luck follows, and I’m counting on that this time.
